Fremont County Transit operates without regard to race, color, national origin or gender or disability. Fremont County Transit provides equal access to its programs and services to all members of the public.
Fremont County Transit shall make reasonable modifications to policies, practices and procedures in an effort to ensure programs are accessible to individuals with disabilities and to ensure nondiscrimination against persons with disabilities. The following information serves to inform the public of its right to this access and to educate them so that they may understand their rights as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) became law in 1990. The ADA is a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation and all public and private places that are open to the general public.
Notice of the public’s rights under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the American Disabilities Act are posted at The Golden Age Center, on all buses and the Fremont County Transit website, as well as brochures and informational literature.
Fremont County Transit Title VI Complaint and Investigation Procedures
The following procedures cover complaints filed under Americans with Disabilities Act for alleged discrimination in any program or activity administered by Fremont County Transit.
These procedures do not affect the right of the Complainant to file formal complaints with State or Federal agencies or to seek private counsel for complaints alleging discrimination. Every effort will be made to obtain early resolution of complaints at the lowest level possible. The option of informal mediation meeting(s) between the affected parties and Fremont County Transit may be utilized for resolution. Any individual, group of individuals or entity that believes they have been subjected to discrimination prohibited under Americans with Disabilities Act and related statutes may file a written complaint (see complaint form) and send it to the following:

In accordance with provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Civil Rights Act of 1964, FREMONT COUNTY TRANSIT does not discriminate on the basis of disability, race, color, national origin or gender.
Any Person who believes he/she or any specific class of persons is subjected to discrimination prohibited by The Americans with Disabilities Act and/or Title VI may by him/herself or by a representative file a written complaint with FREMONT COUNTY TRANSIT and/or the Federal Transit Administration. All complaints will be promptly investigated.
